The Deputy Manager – IT will ensure that the servers, network infrastructure, and applications operate efficiently and safely. They will also be responsible for keeping servers safe from intrusions, viruses, and security worms. The role also requires the timely completion of system state backups, monitoring systems, applications, and hardware logs for SAN and servers, and ensuring that servers and applications are backed up in a timely manner.
The Deputy Manager – IT will be responsible for troubleshooting common hardware and network issues, software and workstation operating systems. The position also requires installing and configuring network equipment and firewalls to update or fix hardware or software issues. The candidate will also install workstations, connect and set up hardware and install software as required while providing backup to ensure continuity of services.
The Deputy Manager – IT will be responsible for maintaining and documenting all types of troubleshooting activities and providing support and training to users in the use of existing hardware and software as well as the use of the local area network and appropriate network-connected equipment. The candidate will also receive, log, and track all calls from users related to network, printing, and PC/Laptop issues. They will organize and maintain various IT files, participate in the research and evaluation of new technology, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and work independently or in a group to accomplish a task.
